Ginger, Turmeric, Cinnamon Tea

Ginger, Turmeric, Cinnamon Tea

A great anti-inflammatory, digestive tea for those chilly evenings.

  • ½ tsp. ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. freshly grated ginger root
  • 2-3 cups water or (my favorite) coconut water, you can also do ½ water and ½ coconut water.
  • A dash of ground pepper
  • A splash of milk, a small bit of butter, or coconut oil for fat helps you to absorb the turmeric.
  • Honey or agave to taste. You don’t really need any if you use coconut water.

Add all ingredients, other than sweetener, to a saucepan. Whisk over medium heat to blend, turn down the heat to low, and simmer for around 10 minutes, whisking occasionally. Sweeten if necessary and enjoy.
