Ginger Lemon Tea

Ginger Tea

This makes 1 cup of tea; I would multiply it by 4 and store the extra in the fridge for instant access.

  • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger root, sliced thin or grated
  • 1 cup water
  • Slice of lemon
  • Sweetener – honey, sugar or agave to taste

Add ginger, water, and lemon to a saucepan, bring to a boil and simmer for about 10 -12 minutes. Strain, add sweetener and enjoy.
*For blocked sinuses I skip the lemon and sweetener and make the tea with just ginger root. Dip a thin washcloth into the tea while it is still hot and drape over your aching sinuses. Feels great and helps to break up congestion.
