Spiced Nuts

  • ½ cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbs chili powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • large egg white
  • 4 cups nuts of choice

Preheat the oven to 300°. Coat a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray or better yet parchment paper for super easy cleanup. In a bowl, whisk the sugar with the salt, chili powder, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper. In a bigger bowl beat the egg white until frothy. Add the nuts and spiced sugar and toss. Spread out the nuts on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 40 minutes, stirring once, until browned. Let the nuts cool on the baking sheet, stirring occasionally.
