You can buy this spice mix at several places but I find it far more satisfying and economical to make my own. I make a cup of the dry mix at a time, that way it is ready whenever I want it, all I have to add is the milk and vanilla. – multiply for convenience
- 1 tsp. turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Pinch of cloves
- Fresh ground black pepper
- Vanilla extract
- Sugar to taste or you can add honey or maple syrup
- 1 cup milk, or milk substitute of choice. I like oat milk.
Add ½ tsp dry mix, (or more if you like a stronger taste) to your cup. Add 2 tbs. of the milk and whisk well to blend. I use a milk frother here which works great. Once the powder is incorporated add the rest of the milk, whisk, and heat. Before drinking, add a dash of vanilla extract and more sweetener if desired. Lovely for those chilly winter nights.
