Susan Evans, Master Gardener & Herbalist teaches a variety of classes and workshops throughout the Denver-Metro area including cooking classes, gardening classes, medicinal herb education, and home & body essentials. Below you will find her current schedule of events. In addition, she is available to facilitate and instruct private lectures, gardening demonstrations, and workshops for groups, businesses or organizations. Edible Wild Foods Gourmet Workshop and Luncheon

Explore the fascinating world of wild edibles. We begin with an herb walk, identifying local wild edibles. Discover the optimum nutrition and delicious tastes provided by plants you usually weed and toss in the compost pile.

Back in the kitchen we prepare a delicious meal using common wild plants, including nettle, chickweed, dandelion, lamb’s quarters, and more. Explore all the ways you can add wild edibles to your current recipes to boost nutrition and flavor. Feast on cactus salsa and chips, nettle pesto tapas, a wild foods salad buffet, blossom herbal tea, and a sweet. Recipes, handout, and wild foods lunch included. Discover the fun and benefits of eating on the wild side!
